Mr. Electric Donates Surge Protector Worth $650 to Glenview Chamber of Commerce Silent Auction

GLENVIEW, ILL. (March 15, 2013) - Mr. Electric of the North Shore is participating in the 90 Bites and Brews Craft Beer Festival celebrating the Glenview Chamber of Commerce’s 90th anniversary with the donation of a house surge protector for the event’s silent auction April 22.

Lightning, problems with utility company equipment, large appliances cycling power on and off, faulty wiring and downed power lines are a few potential cause power surges. In the event of a power surge, all items that have a microprocessor are at risk including televisions, computers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, alarm systems, microwaves and telephones.

Mr. Electric of the North Shore, which will officially open its doors to service the area April 1, joined the more than 400 Chamber members earlier this month.

“We’re proud to have the opportunity to join the Glenview community, and the 90-year-old legacy of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce,” Tim McHenry of Mr. Electric of the North Shore said.
